WATEROAK ATHLETIC CLUB: WHERE CONFIDENCE IS BUILT

Mission Statement

Mission Statement

Mission Statement

Our mission as an organization is to assist our athletes in developing skills that will benefit them both on the field and in the game of life.  These skills include working as a team, motivating others as well as themselves, understanding that even when you fail you learn and grow from each experience.

We encourage our athletes to advocate for themselves and help them understand that hard work, sacrifices, and determination are cornerstones of being successful in anything that they do.  Through this great game of baseball athletes will learn all of this and along their journey they will create experiences that will last a lifetime.

Mission Statement

Mission Statement

As a volunteer-driven 501(c) organization, supported by dedicated volunteer coaches and an incredible landlord, we rely on fundraising and, most importantly, our amazing volunteers. Thanks to their hard work and generosity, our most recent updates now include:

  • Three hitting cages, including one with a pitching machine
  • One large pitching cage featuring two mounds and plate distances up to 60'6"
  • One open fielding area
  • One workout and training area

Thank you to everyone who continues to support and be part of our organization. We truly could not do this without you, and we are excited to keep building something special together.

Practice

How We Measure Success

How We Measure Success

Getting better in sports takes hard work, dedication, and a commitment to improvement. While coaches can provide guidance, instruction, and support, real growth ultimately comes from the player. It is the willingness to practice when no one is watching, to put in the extra effort, and to stay disciplined that separates those who improve from those who don’t.

Practice is not always exciting. It is often challenging, repetitive, and mentally demanding. However, those small, repeated actions are exactly what most people avoid, and they are the same actions that lead to meaningful progress. The few who embrace the grind, stay consistent, and focus on the details are the ones who see results. Success is not handed out or given freely. Results are earned through persistence, effort, and a relentless commitment to getting better.

How We Measure Success

Success to us goes far beyond wins and statistics. It is seeing our athletes continually progress in the game of baseball and develop the skills needed to keep playing through middle school and high school. It’s watching them gain confidence in themselves, learn how to lead by example, and handle both challenges and success with maturity.

Most importantly, success is knowing that our players still love the game. When they take the field with smiles on their faces, support their teammates, and compete with pride and passion, we know we are doing something right. Those moments of growth, leadership, and joy are what truly define success for our organization.
